It’s not something we like to think about, but many everyday items in and around our homes can be toxic to pets. From human medications and chocolate to household cleaners, plants, and pesticides, curious noses can easily get into things they shouldn’t.
At Token & Friends Pet Services LLC, your pet’s safety is always our top priority. When we’re caring for your pets in your home, we make sure that any potentially toxic substances are kept secure, out of reach, and inaccessible. We stay mindful of common hazards and take extra precautions to keep your pets safe, comfortable, and protected while you're away. 🐾
While accidents can happen, reducing access to harmful substances greatly lowers the risk of exposure.
⚠️ If you believe your pet has ingested something toxic:
• Call your veterinarian immediately
• Visit your nearest emergency veterinary hospital
• Contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 1-888-426-4435 (fee applies)
• Or Pet Poison Helpline at 1-800-213-6680 (fee applies)
Keeping pets safe is a team effort, and we’re proud to help give pet parents in Southwest Missouri peace of mind every time we care for their furry family members. ❤️🐶🐱
